The Economic Analyses

Here we present the results of the survey carried out by Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (in Poland it’s called PARP).

What kind of financial sources do you mostly choose for your firm’s activities?
Credit 32.7% (92)
Bonds / Securities 2.8% (8)
Shares 4.6% (13)
Central funds 59.8% (168)
Number of votes: 281

As you can see, central funds are mostly used to finance enterprises. This result is connected with several reasons:

  1. weak availability of other financial sources,
  2. lack of honest information about alternative financial sources for firms,
  3. conscious choice of owners’ firms, who don’t use any foreign financial funds, but count on themselves only

The results of the above-mentioned analyses should be compared with the survey on businessmen’s preferences of gaining funds for further economic activities.

What methods of sponsorship would you like to apply to finance your activities?
Credit 26.3% (89)
Bonds / Securities 10.1% (34)
Shares 27.8% (94)
Central funds 35.8% (121)
Number of votes: 338

As you can see, the majority of businessmen prefer foreign capital for their economic activities. The results show that high percentage of respondents prefer shares, but let's remember, that it is only every twentieth of them.

Taking the analyses as well as the comparisons of the results into consideration, it can be easily noticed that if there were other possible financial sources available, the demand for credits and the necessity of using central funds would considerably fall.
